Found exhibition / Museum der Fotografie, Goerlitz, 2011
The work realized in a framework of the “Hallo Wrocław 2016. Meeting. Movement” Festival
When arranging large exhibitions, one often creates first their miniature designs – dollhouses, which have not only great utility, but also a surreal charm of models and spatial aberrations. Applying masking tape previously used for painting and other waste products, I created a mini exhibition inside the real-life room, turning corners, window sills and every nook and cranny into a monumental exhibition hall. This can be regarded as a kind of transposition of PIP pictures into the third dimension, based on an improvisation. All waste and disposable painting utensils that are left after producing proper paintings constitute in fact a rejected part of them – one that was mercilessly used and then abandoned by the artist. Here this part was found again and exposed. The exhibition is “found” also because you have to look carefully to find it.
